We work with families who must separate from their pets for a variety of reasons. Some families choose to surrender their pets, while others need a temporary solution for their pets. While pets are in our care, we provide basic training to prepare them for a new family. We specialize in working with abused and neglected pets, learning their triggers and placing them in homes suited to their needs.
Adoption Process
Training services are available for the lifetime of any pet adopted from us. If you need to rehome a pet adopted from us for any reason, please contact us first. We are dedicated to the success of every pet who enters our organization.
- Step 1: Complete the Adoption Application and email to adopt@foxvalleyfarmsinc.org.
- Step 2: If you have a specific pet in mind, we will arrange a Meet & Greet with the adopter(s) and any other pet siblings. We would prefer the entire family, human and pet, to be there for the Meet & Greet. If you do not have a specific pet in mind, we will reach out to learn more about you to match a pet with you.
- Step 3: Home visit to ensure living situation is suitable for the pets’ needs.
- Step 4: Take your baby home!
Follow Up
- Step 5: We will reach out to you 6 months after adoption to ensure this is the best fit for you and for the pet. Please consider the 3-3-3 suggestion for adopting a new family member. There are two graphics below that we added to give you a general idea of the 3-3-3 Rule.
- Step 6: We will reach out to you 12 months after adoption to make sure you and your new pet are thriving.

Small Animals
